Karen, as you already know, I'm growing a lot of different tomato varieties. (Especially cherry tomatoes) Off hand, I'm not remembering any potato leaved cherry tomatoes that I'm growing, but maybe there are some.
Tonight, it is raining, thundering, and well... I'll look tomorrow I do have one odd tomato plant growing, well two or so. Japanese Black Trifile RL, and one that grew in a seed cell that had no tomatoes planted in it. I call it, "?" The 72 seed cell was planted in flowers and vegetables - not tomatoes, so I have no clue to what type of tomato it might be. It is RL though. |

*following* While I don't have that many cherries this year, I do like them and would be interested to compare PL cherry varieties to their RL collagues and see if they produce better or tolerate challenges better.
(a couple of PL seedlings this year and so far they are not the strongest or the fastest growing..) |

Yellow Submarine would fit this category.

Rancho Solito, PL red cherry, great taste but bad cracking issues. Karen PM if you want some seeds.
Also, large cherry or very small saladette PL GWR with great flavor and no cracking at all is Esmeralda Golosina. Again, Karen only please, PM if you want some seeds. Both above, original seeds from JandL gardens. |

The two that I was going to mention, Galina's and Yellow Submarine have already been mentioned so I'll try to think of some more.
Carolyn, who just saw FROST warnings for my area from 2 AM to 6AM tomorrow AM. Sigh,

Evans purple pear is a larger pear shaped cherry. Also Potato leaf. Medovaya Kaplya is another.

There's Sungold Select, and Sungold Select II and as far as I know neither one has PL foliage, and nor does Big Sungold, links now shown, and note that the PL Big Sungold was an accidental cross due to instability and there are no seed sources for it, at least that Tania lists and never has listed. http://t.tatianastomatobase.com/wiki/Big_Sungold http://t.tatianastomatobase.com/wiki...b=General_Info I was going to give the links for other of the various Sungolds as well, but none of them have PL foliage. If something like Big Sungold PL was the result of a natural cross due to instability I wonder how much of Sungold is left in it. Have you grown Big Sungold PL, if so, where did your seeds come from, and if so have you compared it with Big Sungold RL? It should be an interesting comparison as long as both are grown in the same season, Carolyn

I grow a yellow cherry that is PL. It is from a widely available store purchased tomato that our son spit a seed out and asked to grow it last year. The saved seeds from that plant were all PL this year and we will grow another plant this year.

Karen,
I finally got to got and look at the tomatoes. The ones I'm growing are already listed on this thread (Medovaya Kaplya and Esmeralda Golosina). The tomato plant that I planted as a Japanese Black Trifile isn't. It has two round flat tomatoes growing on it. Another (?) variety lol. |
