Look like an ant or termite swarm.

Yeah, they do look like termites. My grandparents had some firewood in the basement hatch out a swarm once. They were coming up through the carpet while grandma was frantically vacuuming them up.

I too say subterrainean termites. I hate those things. They pretty much killed my 30 year old apricot tree and peach tree.
