Artisan tomato question
I started seeds for several Artisan tomatoes, Green Tiger, Lucky Tiger, Sunrise Bumblebee and Purple Bumblebee. GT and LT seem quite wispy and I was wondering if that is the norm, Fred, your input is what I'm looking for as well as anyone else's experience. Thanks, Sharon

A lot of Fred's stuff is wispy. I can't remember which artisans are more wispy than others, but I'm sure it's fine.

It is quite normal. Wispy yet deliciously productive. Wait until you try Lucky Tiger.....em em em em good.

GT, LT and Blush are all wispy. So is Maglia Rosa.

I know it's not one of the Artisans, but Spike is the wispiest tomato plant I have ever grown. It is definitely a unique variety. I am looking forward to it.

Make sure you sample Spike through all of it's ripening colors. The flavor changes alot during ripening.
It is a maddening tomato for a farmer. Great flavor, but hard to get to the market without bruising. |
