Charley, wow that is GREEN!

Sorry to hear you don't care for the taste but glad to hear it's your best year ever.

I think that may have been a little too green. Did it blush?
I let my Dwarf Summertime green get a little bit of gold to the bottom,or about as soft as a Cherokee Purple.

Charley, I would think the tastes are because of all the rain we got back in May. I'm guessing you got a lot of rain like we did between Waco and Fort Worth back in May. I know that's a little north of you.

May is the most important month for gardeners in our area. That is when the plants start to grow and become strong. Our gardens got stunted in the most important stages because of the flooding rains.

I don't know about your garden, but mine suffered because of what I wrote above. I live 17 miles north of Hillsboro, TX.

the next pink to ripen was STUMP OF THE WORLD and this one was not quite as productive as prudens but the flavor was better.

Ditto on the Prudens purple, every tomato I have on that plant has been near a pound or bigger. The taste so far is nothing compared to my blacks and the SOO.
