Default I've decided it must be a mental disorder

What else would cause me to do this to myself every year?

When you hear a knock on the door, expect a tomato hungry Texan.

There are many less productive and delicious ways to spend your time
That's quite a haul! Beautiful harvest.

Lol Robert, that's right you're in between seasons right now aren't you?

Thanks Worth, I'll pass the compliment on to hubby. You're right, it is fun. I forgot that part

Thanks Karen. I'm not even gonna mention all the beans and onions waiting for me to harvest them. Oh wait, I just did. Well, crap lol.

Carriehelene,
Colour me green with envy. Third year in a row hit with some kind of blight....got all of 3 beefsteaks off 30 plants before they packed it in...and maybe a handful of cherries. Grrrrrrrr. Think I have to face that growing at my brother's place is doomed.
But that hasn't stopped me from canning and pickling up a storm. I figure I'll be doing tomato sauce over the next few weeks. And for that I'll be hitting the farmer's markets for bushels of maters. Wish I had your haul to fuel my canning.

Most of us have it, to some extent.
I call it addiction rather than mental disorder.
Some addiction and habit formed behaviors are actually GOOD and healthy, I believe.

Aww, that's so sad. But at least you get another round of it. Up here in the winter frozen hell, we only get one shot. To get enough to last through till next year, we've got to go big. It can be over-whelming this time of year. Maybe I need to move to Texas

My son says "you know there are things called stores that sell all this stuff, right?" then tells me he's going to live in the city. Hmmm, my grandparents were farmers, my parents were city dwellers, I'm a country girl. Wonder if the growing gene skips generations in my family?

That is AWESOME! I think you are on to something about growing skipping generations coz I sometimes feel the same!
What type of green squash is sticking out of the top box (at the corner) in the first picture?

Gee....note to self...new business idea....in-home canning for the at home gardener who doesn't have the time! LOL

Going to spend the day pickling with my sis and niece...so might get that out of my system, for a few days, Carriehelene. But who knows? Depends upon what else I pick up at the market today.

ps ~ doncha just love autocorrect? Xanax has got to be a new one though. LOL

Lungi, that is a black beauty zucchini. There are 4 more in the box and another 4 on the front porch.

Zana, you could probably make a fortune doing that! Have an awesome time picking, that's one of my favorite parts.
