Tomatoes Riping
Why do tomatoes ripen from the bottom first, just was curious does anyone know?

Do you mean the lowest fruit on the plant ripen first? I think it's because they are the first blossoms to set fruit.

Well, not all of them do. There is the uniform ripening gene, which most hybrids have (and a decent number of OP).
My idea is that the tip is the oldest part of the fruit, that's why is ripens first, but maybe it's not true, maybe it's the youngest... someone more knowledgeable hopefully will chime in. |

Yes I meant why do individual tomatoes seem to ripen first from the bottom
