Default Wands

Looking for the best watering wand I can buy. All the ones I've found at nurseries and big box store don't even last one season. Any recommendations from you knowledgeable folk? thanks.

I use a $9.99 water wand from ace hardware. Its aluminum and i have yet to have a leak or crack in it. Its on its 3rd season so i think i got my 10 bucks worth out of it for sure.

Ditto on the Dramm
Upgrade to an aluminum head and brass shutoff and you are bulletproof.

Okay Dramm. Where can I find them?

I have a wand that sprays me more than the ground.

Ace hardware and real nurseries and garden centers.
Home Depot and Lowes sell China junk.

Your wife can get them through wall mart too I just looked.

I have one that i bought few years ago from Ace. I don't know the brand name.
It has no spring loaded valve. and the head is just a plain shower head, with no adjustments or multiple spray patterns.
That is how I like it and it is the only thing that I water my plants with . I adjust it to about 2 gpm flow rate.

I was thinking last night if I had enough copper fittings and a valve around here to make a homemade one with an aerator head on it.

Use one from Lee Valley for our garlic bulbil beds about four years old now no problems with it.
Price is steep but it works well at high pressure of over 100 pounds.
Water Wand - Gardening
This sturdy aluminum wand is the same type used by professional nursery workers.
The durable construction ensures that it will last for generations. It is coupled with a heavy-duty trigger valve that gives water on demand and a 1" diameter aluminum spray rose. The complete unit measures 40" overall and has brass fittings.

The optional 2" aluminum rose is ideal for watering high volumes of plants, such as masses of flats or pots in a greenhouse.
