We will be growing a lot of flowers this year, and there's already wildflowers coming up around here. I'll share the pictures here on this thread. (4-2-16)

I love Indian paintbrushes but I hate that they kill bluebonnets.

Those little blue wildflowers are Blue Eyed Grass.
We have them here too, believe it or not! I have some in my garden. Gorgeous. We won't see them bloom probably until July. |

I thought it was Blue Gilia too, but based on petals I think u r correct that it is Blue Eyed Grass.

Yeh, I looked at Worth's link and had to go back and forth a few times before I counted the petals. Blue Gilia are really pretty too, we don't have them and it's hard to see the leaves so I don't know how different they are. But the Blue-eyed Grass is neat - it just looks like any old tuft of grass (to me) until they bloom. Ours here are really tiny. The flower is maybe 1/4 inch across. But maybe in Texas they're bigger... I couldn't tell from the pictures.

I just love iris. And gladiolas. Or is that gladioli?

I agree that it is Blue-eyed Grass. I have some in my perennial beds.
You sure have some gorgeous blooms happening.

Thank you. My plans are to walk around the property tomorrow and take a few pictures. I noticed some Butter cups on the side of the road on the way to town today. I don't know if we have any growing here or not. I've been planting a lot of seeds and plants the past few days and haven't stopped to smell the roses.
