blossom turning black falling off bacterial speck?
What can anyone tell me about the blossoms on a heart variety heirloom turning black and falling off. This heart also has much catfacing.
"tomato dirt" says bacterial speck. zeroma |

A photo would be helpful, as verbal descriptions are vague.
Does it look like the third photo on this page, which shows bacterial spot on flower buds? Catfacing is usually caused by exposure to cold temperatures. If it hasn't been cold, it can be caused by herbicide exposure, too much nitrogen, and erratic water supply. |

Catfacing is caused by damaged pollen - possibly during really hot or really cold temperatures.
