Dumbest thing I did today was.......
Ok I'll go first.
Was in the garden. Barefoot of course because thats how gardening should be done. Went to dig taters, and somehow ran the fork into my foot. Just dumb. Only a flesh wound but feeling not so smart about it all. |

Ouch. I have thorny pig weed. It will talk a person out of barefoot gardening.

I didn't do it myself, but I saw it - my wife holding her $5 phone case as the $70 phone falls to the ground. Luckily, my shoe cushioned the fall.

I did that the other day with mine I thought it was going in my pocket but it ended up on my foot. No worried because I have a brand new one that I can use If I need to. It was my wife's before she died. |

I've done that so many times. I'll carry things in from the car. A bunch of stuff in one hand and only one thing in the other so I can open the door. So I've got the camera, game system, and several other things in one hand - and bottle of water in the other.

More than ouch! There are good reasons for wearing shoes at times. Your tetanus is up to date, yes? Is it a puncture wound or a tear type wound and does it need stitches? I hope it more like a scratch. though tetanus works well with scratches, too. Watch it fairly closely, elevate it, ice and such, if more than moderate swelling, or if a puncture wound or any other signs of distress occur, go to acute care immediately. |

Oh Imp,
Your imagination is working a little hard. Its just a scratch, and I'm clumsy enough that being up on tetanus isn't usually a problem. But thanks for your concern. |

Can't help it, I worry, LOL. Sorry.
I DO have a good imagination, sometimes a good thing, sometimes not so a good thing. Dumbest thing I did today was get a bit too hot, but am okay. Got cooled down and re-hydrated, but sure felt sick for a bit. I know better, but it was one of those, "just this one more thing..." things. |

Imp, it's too hot for "One more thing". I pretty much garden year round. There are two things I will not go out to the gardens without - One being the phone and the other being a half frozen bottle* of water. It doesn't matter if it is 40F outside or 104F - take and drink water. My doctor told me that you should drink a half oz. of water for every pound you weigh. For me that's easy to figure out - at 220 pounds, I need to drink 110 oz. of water each day.
*For those who live a green life - Yes, I know that bottled water adds to pollution, but I refill those bottles many-many times. |
