First Ripe Dirty Girl (OP Early Girl)

I harvested my first ripe Dirty Girl a couple of days ago. It weighed 64 grams and was a nice shade of red. Pretty firm and very solid. I left it on the counter for a couple of days to soften, but it stayed firm. After cutting it for a photo, I carefully scooped out the seeds and gel. The rest I ate. I have to admit it was pretty good. It was almost as firm as store tomato, but didn't taste like one. Nice clean tomato taste, sweet and tangy. Not as rich a flavour as some heirlooms, but better than others I've tried, maybe 6.5 out of 10. I bet dry farmed it would be at an 8. The PL plant is doing great, big lush leaves and lots more fruit(2 were blushing this morning). I've got seeds fermenting and will grow DG again next year.

If I am not mistaken Early Girl was already done as an OP called PSR 37 and was PL too. I think that was the name, I did not look it up. I used a PL EG to a PL Blk Krim and am growing the F4 now. I have a red standard size tomato, a pink standard and a red beefsteak line that I segregated. They are very good, much better than I expected them to be, and better than the F1 cross itself.

PSR-37 is a great tomato that sets well in Houston heat. I grow it every year.
