Corleone Plum tomatoes
Hi all,
I'm curious as to whether anyone else has tried Corleone plum tomatoes? I grew some from seed, and while my other tomatoes are great so far, the taste of these have been not so good. |

I think this may be referring to the one from Park Seeds called corleone plum hybrid.

Some pastes are quite bland when eaten fresh and need to be cooked to bring out their flavor.

If they are as resistant to diseases as advertized, I will have to add this to my MMM wishlist
Knowing they are expensive hybrid (aka errr... frankenseeds), I would be glad with just one or two... |

I was wondering about needing to cook them! So there's hope. Bland would be a good word to describe. A friend described it as "delicate".
I'll keep you posted on how they do, so far they've been pretty blight resistant (sprayed preventatively with Daconil), just a bit of EB but not much & lots of new growth, they're just ripening now but lots of green tomatoes & large size. I did in fact order from Park Seeds, and as my first time growing from seed, just about every one germinated & was easy to grow. |
