Default chicken coop extension

extended the coop. doubt there will be any grass by this time next week. it survived 80 mph winds yesterday that blew down a tree and jacked up some other stuff. 2" of rain in about 30 minutes...... girls are happy with their new addition. going to add a dusting box, perch, etc....

...oh, the guy who built and delivered, I gave him a super steak tomato when he came out and took measurements, he said it was the "best tomato he had ever eaten." I was kind of surprised, cuz he is an old country boy that does this stuff on the side with his two sons (which I thought was kewl as h*ll). Love seeing families work together, great ppl.

I gave him another 16" all around supersteak, which he asked the name (and I didn't reply "beefsteak") - LOL.

Personally, do not think I will grow the SS next year, they are ok - good producer, big tomato, very juicy, but have green in the shoulder meat and not best in flavor. On the fence, might have some seeds left over, and thus grow 1 or 2 plants - not the current six. They did survive the heat, that is a +

That is a really nice chicken coop, but doesn't this post belong in the 2 cents section? It has nothing to do with tomatoes.

idk. general discussion seemed appropriate, 2c seems like it is for opinions - which this is not opinion, it is a garden update thread. it does have a tomato story.....

I was not aware that the GD section was only for tomato lore.

Please don't take me the wrong way. I am not trying to be mean or picky but if you look at the front page of Tville there are 6 Headers there and the General Discussion is under the "We're Here for the Tomatoes" section. We're Here for Tomatoes is for the discussion of, well tomatoes of course. It is a gorgeous coop, but the thread is in the wrong section. The 2 cents section has many posts about chickens, raising them and their coops.

I see what you are talking about and will make note for future posts. Honestly, first time I have noticed that statement. I do not know how to change to the different section, but if moderation feels necessary, please feel free to relocate.

No offense taken - it's Monday. Have a great day!!
