my first foray doing well
This has been my first foray into growing tomatoes and growing them from seed. These were planted on July 16 and began sprouting just 3 days later.

seems like such a long time ago when my babies were that little. the hopes and aspiration with silent expectations. have a great season alpha niner.
some of my babies grew up to be fine upstanding adults. others became patients with frequent trips to the E.R. a few went on to be outlaws and ended up on the show c.o.p.s. (bad boys, bad boys, whatchoo going do.......... Have fun & watch out for them nemotoads, heard they be bad down there. |

You are about 2 weeks ahead of me. I'll be starting my seeds in the first week of September.
Yours look great. What is your grow list? |

I'm growing in Earth Boxes so no nematodes to worry about. But you are correct, the nematodes are really bad down here

That's a beautiful grow list. I hope it cools off too, and that you have an excellent season.

you going to wait to box 'em up until after hermine clears out? doesn't look too tempestuous, but probably a lot of rain in the florida gulf nook, and babies could get weather beaten.

I actually boxed them up yesterday, if it gets too bad I have some summerweight shade cloth that might protect them. Guess we'll see once the rains begin.

I have a couple planters that are swc, but do not have an e-tainer (never have had one - but have thought about getting one more than thrice). Do these things have a plug in the bottom you can pull so they don't get swampy during toad stranglers? |

The have a reservoir in the bottom that holds the water and wicks it up and any excess water drains from an overflow hole.
