size of container for growing peppers

How many gallons should the pot be? I have two grow bags that I am using right now and I think they are between 3-4 gallons. Would a 2 gallon pot be ok?

What kind of pepper? Two gallons might be OK for a shi★★★★o, but not a big pepper plant.

I have some trader Joe peppers and Winnie the Pooh peppers.

I use three gallon bags for the smaller pepper plants, but five gallon bags for the larger plants. If you aren't sure how big the two varieties will get, I suggest playing it safe and going with larger containers.

I read that people grew them out and got some good results. I wanted to just try out a couple of seeds and see what happens.

Yah, I think those are mislabeled heatless jalapeños. There is no better way to get started growing peppers. Go for it!

I don't know whether you already grow in pots so if this is too basic, just ignore. You want to fill those pots with a Potting Mix, not with soil. Pick up a big bag of something like Miracle Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix. You'll be shocked at how much dirt those big pots eat.
