Default Green Tiger is a monster!

Green Tiger is an appropriate name for this tomato. It's like a tiger prowling, only in the garden. It is huge, twining and winding its way amongst all the other plants within reach. I honestly think I harvested over well over 300 tomatoes and it was still going but I had to cut it down. Most of the fruit were quite large for a cherry. They've been in salad and roasted and dried. I've still got boxes of them waiting to ripen. Holy Moly! Unreal. It was in direct competition with Ron's Carbon Copy, but GT won hands down in terms of production and shelf life. I honestly could not contain it and I gave up.
Fred - is there a more controlled version of this tomato?

I like Green Tiger, too.

Maglia Rosa has a much more compact growth pattern. Fred needs to crank out MR in some different colors. If he did, they would be the only cherries I grow.

I grew several of both this year. Maglia Rosa matured a lot earlier and are becoming tired now (begging for fertilizer?). Green Tigers were a bit later, and still pumping out lots of fruit now, they are bigger, in clusters and taste super-fruity, actually they are the best tasting of all Tigers , Bees, and Blush. The only downside is the fruit tend to split, so I have to eat lots of them while out picking. I've not seen a single Maglia Rosa split. MR taste great as well and both will be back next year.

Interesting. My GT have not had any problems with splitting this year. Maglia Rosa sadly did not do well for me. Last year I also grew Lucky Tiger which was also prolific. I'm thinking of re-introducing into my plans for next year.
