I started a single seed yesterday. I told myself to just wait until mid-February when the weather would be warmer and I'd have more sunlight on my patio and less issues with disease but I just couldn't wait. I haven't even finished replacing the potting soil in my pots - which got some RKN last season and some blight. Plants started in March always catch up to the ones I start in Jan/Feb no matter what since I get a lot more sunlight starting in March.

It was like an addiction or compulsion... I really couldn't stop myself.

You think that is bad I saw a petrified ran over dried out tomato mush in the parking lot of the grocery store.
Seeds were ran over a hundred times.
It crossed my mind to scrape some up just to see if they would sprout after all of the abuse.

I started some onions from seed just to calm my addiction. I germinate the seed in my office at home - love to smell the potting soil over the heating mat! A true sickness, I know!

Started some micro dwarfs to tide me over.

I started micro-dwarfs, too, just to see if they would germinate in my garage in January; all seven came up, so I had to set up a grow light. So then I started some micro-greens, because my diet has become too starchy, and the grow light is 48" long. And then I started some thyme, just to see if the seeds were still good from last year, and they are. And rosemary takes so long to germinate, so I started that, too. And it has been AWESOME to have my fingers in the dirt -- even if it's seed-starting mix -- again.
