Root trainers?
I've been looking into some new ways to start my flower seeds and came across root trainers for my sweet peas. The point is promote deep root growth. I'm thinking of using them for my tomatoes as well. Has anyone ever done this? Thoughts?

I think If you dig a big, deep planting hole and add/mix in granular nutrients/ferts at the very bottom section and DO NOT feed/water them from the top , the roots should dig in deeper in search of food and moisture and eventually will get where the nutrient are. The opposit is lazy training. When you fertilize and water shallow, then the roots will have no incentive to grow deep. JMO.
