I'm pretty sure Marsha does hers that way.

Maybe she'll be here to answer shortly. She is the Earthbox expert!

This year I started adding Calcinit and Epsom salts with every watering, plus great overnight temps for fruit set, and my production is off the charts. It's what you feed them that determines it.

Do you put those down the tube (water hole)?

I have 3 earthboxes that I usually grow 2 indeterminate plants each in them.
I have found that the earthboxes run out of nutrients before the season ends with the large plants.
In the photo the plants will top out over the support fence I put up over them at 10 feet during the summer.
I do like Marsha and add calnit down the watering tube once a week.
As an experiment, this year I will be adding Texas Tomato Food to them as well to make sure they continue to feed. I'm going to add it directly to the roots instead of the watering tube to reduce waste.
I really like the EB's and have automatic watering on them - makes it easy!
BTW I took the 10 foot supports down and changed to pea fencing - Got tired of hauling a stepladder down to the garden to pick tomatoes...
