Garden pics 2017
Thought I would share some pics of garden so far this year. Sorry they are sideways......Oakley and anyone else please feel free to spin, would be much appreciated.
Pics are random...... Tomato varieties are: BIG BEEF AZOYCHKA PRUDEN'S PURPLE ISPL DR. WYCHES YELLOW EVA PURPLE BALL JUANE FLAME GREEN GIANT JAPANESE BLACK TRIEFLE GREEN TIGER CHERRY PURPLE BUMBLEBEE CHERRY Peppers GOLDEN TREASURE JIMMY NARDELLO PADRON MUCHO NACHO JALAPENO FRESNO AJI LIMON Second planting shown of beans and cukes. First planting still going but slowing down. Zucchini is Dunja. Freezing lots of tomatoes, eating and giving away as well. Picking loads of peppers, eating and giving away......do peppers freeze well? First planting of cucumbers didn't do so well, hopefully these will be Better. A bit of sad news..... one of my ISPL loaded with fruit decided to bite the dust a few days ago. Don't know wth happened it just wilted and died. I couldn't bring myself to post a pic of it as of today, so sad Nothing else is affected thank goodness. Waiting on the fruits to ripen then I will pull it examine roots and slice stem to see if I can determine what happened. |

Good looking harvest! Anything ripe yet?
Curious if your peppers went in the ground at the same time as your toms. And if you started your pepper seeds earlier than your toms... I'm back in the pepper game having given up half dozen yrs ago. Fingers crossed mine will do better this year. Yours are huge and the one plant is stuffed in its cage! |

Thanks guys. Oakley, I wasn't certain there would be a garden this year. Got a late start, tomatoes and peppers were planted out early May. I have had quite a few ripe tomatoes, mostly Taxi so far. It's a super producer but just not very tasty. Do any of you know of a good determinate? I need suggestions please.......I would like to grow more determinates next year and fewer indeterminates.
I am picking loads of peppers. I have 5 Padron plants, my absolute favorite. I eat them almost every day, they are heavenly. Waiting on the Golden Treasure to turn, it's taking it's own sweet time this year. |

Everything is so green and beautiful! Those peppers are like trees. More like a jungle than a garden, LOL! You have done an amazing job. And your babies are absolutely precious! <3 <3 <3
