hates
I hate when store bought plants don't have the tomato type on the tag
i.e. determinate or indeterminate. I bought plants and didn't find out until I got home and looked them up on the net that they were determinate type. There ought to be a law. |

I don't buy plants, but I do agree that they should be clearly identified as to what you are getting.

I hate when the variety name is not stated! Is it a hybrid or OP? I saw that Bonnie plants had eggplant marked "Black Beauty" type eggplant... type? So is it not Black Beauty, then? Don't trust it.... I get all OP. Am I anal,or spoiled that I want more information?

I find it easier to love when the tag is right or when the info I need is there.
Attitude makes the difference. I wasn't always this way, and life is better now. Much better. Good luck. |

Fruit trees that say what kind of fruit it is not variety or chili hours.
Most famous at big box stores. |

My cousin bought rutabaga seed from China. About one in every 50 or so plants was actually rutabaga. The rest were some weird Chinese plant that looks marginally edible, probably a weed that grows there.

Plants with the wrong tag is high on the list.
Not being able to find the watering can I'm looking for is another. I want to find one locally so I can see it and pick it up, but I may have to order one from a .com |

Some would say that a rutabaga is weird and looks marginally edible. On the plus side, no tariff. |

I bought a "red" brandywine tomato plant and did research when I got home.
Supposed to be RL and this plant is PL so it's really the pink variety. I always thought sungold was a yellow tomato, tags I saw today show the tomato as red/orange color.Didn't buy those. Buyer beware.Again, all the tags never say determinate or indeterminate. |

I would only buy (and I have bought) Chinese seeds if they are packaged in commercial packets... which of course doesn't guarantee accuracy. I wonder where Chinese gardeners prefer to get their seeds, gardening is a huge hobby there so there must be very demanding and knowledgeable customers in China... |

I thought I'd found the perfect can from Canadian Tire. It was twice the price of the horrid ones, and mine leaked all around the bottom . By the time I discovered that, it was too late to return it . Hubby went across the border and found me a great one at Ace or somewhere . I need more! Linda |

There used to be a shop where I once lived that built the cans and buckets.
They would custom make to order too. Those days are long gone. Last edited by Worth1; May 21, 2019 at 01:16 PM. |
