Cold Black Brandy tomato
Does anyone know anything about the Cold Black Brandy tomato? I'm curious to know about production, days to maturity, size, taste, shape, leaf-type, growth habit, parentage, breeder, and history, or whatever you know.
I know it's been bred to at least the F4 generation, by the year 2015. I'm envisioning something akin to True Black Brandywine, but that's just from the name. Last edited by shule1; November 7, 2019 at 11:51 PM. |

Cold Black Brandy was sent into the MMMM a few (or more) years ago, as a not yet completely stable tomato. I remember it being selected for setting fruit in cold weather. Since I'm currently going through my collection looking for a few other things, I'll see if I can find the original description and the seeds.

Cool. Thanks! You actually sent me seeds for it in 2016. I'm just trying to learn more so I can know what to expect, and since I couldn't find anything about it, like Nan said.

I'm trying to remember more (too many varieties, too many years), so this might not be accurate... saladette size, and a short plant. Hopefully I can come up with the written description. Or better yet, the seed donator chimes in.

Thanks!
A black, cold-hardy saladette sounds pretty nice. |
