Aspirin water spray
I did a search on here for aspirin and found a few mentions, but the latest post was a few years ago. Thought I'd bring it up again.
I heard this year that dissolving a regular non-coated aspirin in a gallon of water will do good things for your tomatoes and other veggies. You spray the aspirin water on the leaves, top and bottom. Supposedly it triggers a defense mechanism and helps the plants grow better. I've been trying it this year and am having what may be a banner year. Anyone else doing this?

I forgot all about that.
I used to use 325mg per liter of water in a spray bottle. IMHO it does work short term, but then the plants get used to it and it loses it's effect. Like people and antibiotics. |

The aspirin I used had expired,if that makes a difference on dosage.
It gets stinky like vinegar. |

I stuck some in my gardening bag and I keep meaning to use it. How much aspirin per gallon? Can I mix it with something like neem, fish emulsion or insecticidal soap?

The usual dose is 325mg per gallon
I wouldn't mix it with other stuff. |

I hadn't heard to use it as a spray but I have heard of people crushing up a couple of aspirin and dropping them in the hole before planting out.

Forgot to mention that you need to apply every 2-3 weeks.
