How often to fertilize?
Due to gopher issues and my soil needing to lie fallow for a while I'm growing in 5 gallon pots this year. The soil I used has plenty of amendments but the plants seem to have hit a wall. I got some Texas Tomato food but I'm unsure of how often to dose them. Any suggestions?
Thanks, gary in the hot, dry California Central Valley |

With top watering they will hit a wall about now, mostly due to root boundness. The more consistent the water, the later the wall.
In theory would be best to feed at every watering as long as you make sure there is some overflow often. Something like 0.5-1 g/l for TTF. |

Thank you for the reply, I'll give it a go. I'm watering every 2 days. If I go 3 days I start to see wilt. The sun has been brutal this year.
