Why, that IS beautiful! Could we see some slices cut the other direction? What's the weight/size?

It was 2-5/8 oz, which I think is a bit smaller than expected for the variety. Sorry, but I didn't make any other pix after slicing. I hadn't really planned to make pictures at all ... was just going to slice 'er up and serve it. But once I made the first slice, I just had to grab the camera.

** that's a bit smaller than it should be, which is about 4-6 oz with most fruits at the upper end of that. I received this variety from a Frenchman in a huge trade in 1992 and of course the name translates out to Black Krim. But having grown Black Krim this one was different. The fruits were smaller, the color was darker and the taste was superior to the Black Krim that I had been growing.

Hi, Carolyn. Thanks for the additional information. It seems that often my fruits are a little smaller, and generally have a less rich taste than I read about. I think it's our cooler climate here in Alaska. (At least I prefer to think it's that, rather than my horticulture skills!)

Hi, squibT. Yes, it's in a greenhouse. Some summers I can get a few tomatoes from plants grown in pots outdoors, but I think this summer the outdoor harvest will be very skimpy indeed.
EDIT: I love your avatar! |

Ahhh Sherry...I found your Undercover Gardening post. Nice living area you got there...good use of space. Wish I had a green house here. Yours looks perfect.
