Going Full Throttle

After getting a late start with the garden this year, the eggplants are finally in full gear with these 90 degree++++ days. I've included a link to my photobucket account with many pictures if anyone cares to take a look. http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e1...ess/Eggplants/

Incredible pics! Just lovely eggplant. Thai White Ribbed is one of the oddities I grew last year. I find Prosperosa to be just beautiful, but not the best yielder. And what can you say about Listada di Gandia! My favorite for looks!

Thanks for the link. We went from 16 down to 7 plants this year...and I think 10-12 is a better number for us, since we are a bit short!

Hey Grub,
Thanks for the responce, I just got back in town from 3 days at the coast, only to find that I had 4 of your name sake tomatoes ready to pick (Grub's Mystery Green R.L.'s) . The wife whipped up a batch of Bacon, Egg. Lettuce, and Tomato sandwiches with you're afore mentioned varieties, and home fries (potatoes with garlic chives, and E.V.O.O.) ....... needless to say.... I am 1 happy camper. Good Luck with your eggs.... added a few new pic's to the photobucket..

Mmmm... I'm drooling.

1. Now, how are the fruit on De Barbentan? Did you get many?
2. I am supposing Dourga was productive... nice looking eggie.
3. Are you sure your Loa Green Stripe is true to form? Mine was like that but, unless memory fails me, which it does from time to time, I thought it was long.

BTW: 'm a little worried about my experiment, that is, I have managed to get 16 eggies through winter and pruned them and they are resprouting, and I've fed them, but I'm just a little concerned they won't produce as well or at all...

Haven't ever read much or anything at all about overwintering eggies, but here goes. Some produced oodles in Year One, now for Year Two...
