Spring, out the windows on a rainy day...

What a great day - all day gentle rain, temp in the mid 60s....spring bursting all around! I took a walk around the house and took pics through windows to give a sense of spring...here they are - four from the back windows out toward our back yard and woods, then from the East, front and West. I love this time of year!

Nice pics...is that a dogwood Blooming???? ours will be another week or so before opening up....when dogwoods bloom I wait one week then put out my garden..

Craig, its looks like you live in a higly wooded area (lots of shade) do you plant your tomatoes somewhere else ?

Signs of springtime, for sure! Forsythias just coming out here, a few cherry trees blooming but too early for dogwoods.

I have two sunny areas that can support veggies - the East side of the house (you can see part of my 50X35 foot garden in that window shot) gets enough full sun (half day) to do a reasonable job with lettuce, squash, melon, but no more tomatoes there - too much disease in the soil, and not enough sun. The driveway gets full sun most of the day, so all tomatoes, peppers and eggplants go in pots in the driveway on the west facing side of the house.
