Smaller tomato plants wanted.
I'm looking for smaller type tomato plants for next year (seeds). Can anyone expand on what I have listed here?
Tiny Tim SFTree Sub Arctic Maxi Savignac I'm looking for plants that grow up to around 30", patio, dwarf, hanging basket type...anything smallish. Fruit size or colour doesn't matter. Problem is a lot of seed sites don't list the plant size just D or I so I need some real world experience. TIA, squibt |

Scorseby Dwarf, Tatura, Patio King, Kootenai. See my thread on Andrey's Dwarves I grew in my greenhouse this winter. There are lots of decent tasting plants that dont get taller than 30 inches. Patio King is one of my favorites-I think there is a thread or posting I did with photos from this past winter.

Red Robin is another small one that a lot of people grow or have grown in the past.

Great info...thankyou all....
Exactly what I am looking for....thanx all. I want to grow a lot of smaller tomato plants mixed with my flowers (all potted). I have some spaces behind the flower pots next to a long fence on a concrete patio that could be filled with smallish tomato plants. I think 36 inches and under would be great with the dwarfs mixed in and around the flowers or in front in pots. Got SFT and Tiny Tim there now. Hey maybe a Stick tomato plant too? |

Squibt,
I will put together a list in a few days but for now you can't go wrong with Mano, Fomou, Retita, Payette, Demidov and Azure to start with. Michael |

Thanx Deer Park,
Any info would be great. Got a lot of research to do with all these suggestions. I think tomatoes add a nice touch to a flower garden like I have here...not large plants but strategically placed smaller versions peeking out here and there would look cool. I put the SFT and Tiny Tim right out in front in tall pots though...can't wait for fruit... |

SquibT, love that photo. What a nice container garden! Lots of points of interest and lots of color and form. I'll bet it's a wonderful place to putter around in.
What is the object on the right side of the photo between the gate and the white pedestal. There are three flower pots sitting on it.

Thanx Ruth...Lots of little places to tuck things. Can't wait till there is more flowering going on...won't be long now. Lots of them are just about ready to bloom. It's an old cast iron fire place with three pots on it. Tim |
