Default BWxTad F6

Here's a photo of a line I've been growing out since getting a
fruit from Craig a few years ago from his F3 growout of the cross line
that produced Lucky Cross and Little Lucky.

This one is now in the F6, and look what has appeared....

Looks like a heart shaped fruit to me! The F5 was a large oblate striped with
a great flavor.... It's intersting the heart shaped is showing up this late....
I wonder if it's environmental...

Lee, those fruits seem to have the immature striping that I saw on Tad when I first grew it out from Tad's 3 way cross he sent me and the immature fruits always had that kind of darker green striping.

And I wonder if it's really a heart or perhaps just a slightly pointed tip from environmental conditions which does happen.

Right now I predict a more Tad looking fruit than a BW type fruit. Tad has a yellow background with orange/gold. reddish distinct stripes. And the fruits are small and round, in the maybe 4-6 oz range. I haven't grown it out for new stock in maybe 5 years or so, so I'm going on partial but pretty good memory here.

Here's what we are shooting for. This is from the F4 generation, two years
ago. 1lb+ fruits were quite common and quite tasty at that!

And here's what looks to be another heart on a second plant here at home!
