Default CP with P leaves

Started some plants for fall.
The CPurple came up PL.
Anyone grow them?
A couple years ago there were many fakes.
Didn't see any recent topics about it.
Anyone know about the PL version and if it is still common?

What was your seed source?

There are a couple version of PL Chereokee purple out there, I think only Sandhill has a commercially available one called Cherokee Purple PL. I am growing Spudakee which is a PL Cherokee Purple discoverd by Bill Mailen (sp) but those are not available commercially to my knowledge.

I assume the package did not mention it was PL? If it did not then my first inclination would be that they are not Cherokee Purple PL and most likely not going to produce cherokee purple type fruits. Not sure if anyone else has any thoughts.

If I remember right, about 3 years ago there were
quite a few people buying seeds and getting PL.

I think they had the correct appearing fruits.

I just can not remember what finally was determined about what happened?

I got my Cherokee Purple (PL / "Spudakee Purple") from Bill Malin a number of years ago and found them to be amazing! Def. grow out what you have and let us know what they turn out to be (color).

The 2 seedlings are a few weeks from plant out.
I will definitely keep my eye on them.
